The Evolution Swim Team at Mandeville Sports Complex offers young swimmers a motivating, skill-building environment where they can grow in technique, confidence, and love for the sport. Designed for ages 5–18, the program supports swimmers from lesson graduates all the way through high-school competitors.

Program Overview

The Evolution Swim Team begins May 11 and is open to swimmers ages 5–18. This recreational program welcomes all skill levels—from kids who have just completed swim lessons to experienced swimmers training for school competitions.

Swimmers will learn:

All four competitive strokes
Proper technique and body alignment
Speed, endurance, and pacing
Starts, turns, and race fundamentals

SWIM TEAMCoaching Staff

Head Coach: Jill Maggio
Coach Jill is a former LSU swimmer and a current PE teacher at Tchefuncte Middle School and Gayle Sloan Middle School. She founded the Evolution Swim Team at MSC in 2017 and brings years of competitive swimming experience and youth coaching expertise.

Asst. Coach: Kyle Maggio

Kyle Maggio is a swim instructor and coach with over 10 years of experience working with swimmers of various ages and skill levels and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.

Kyle has experience teaching both beginner and more advanced swimmers, focusing on building fundamental skills, improving technique, and helping individuals become more comfortable in the water. As a certified Lifeguard Instructor, he incorporates water safety into all of his lessons. His approach is structured, patient, and adaptable to each swimmer’s needs, with an emphasis on steady progress and clear instruction.
